Where did it go???
I’m talking about the past week. Where exactly it went I have no idea??? But its gone, disappeared, vanished!
I concede Monday and Tuesday were dedicated to work, Wednesday was used for housework, Thursday was designated to the termite man, and Friday was given to cleaning up after the termite man!
As well as giving the termite man a lot of money, a lot of time was spent cleaning the dust he left, and wiping away his dirty hand prints!!! Hopefully we won’t need to worry about termites again for the next 10 years.
Tuesday evening I went to a parenting class. I have been doing the Three Choices Parent Course the last two weeks and have one more session this week. Its been very interesting, and even more interesting implementing this at home! Boo’s daycare use these methods so she is used to these techniques already but wasn’t overly thrilled to have this carried over at home. I thought she’d be quite resistant but as the instructor mentioned its usually the kids you expect to resist are less resistant. I must say though there has been less arguments, and no shouting (not that we do a lot anyway)!
On Wednesday my computer was hit by a host of trojans and spyware, and was in major go slow mode and was not keen on connecting to the net. Hopefully I have removed all the evil beings now!
This morning Boo and I spent in the garden mowing, and fixing the reticulation. Until Boo decided we needed a tea break – she really meant we aren’t doing any more at the moment!
I also applied for a new job overseas on a bit of a whim. It’s an idea I’ve been toying with for awhile, so will have to wait until the end of October to see if I even get shortlisted

Parenting courses can be wonderful things. If only to give us the confidence to trust our instincts sometimes. I did the “Triple P” (Positive Parenting Programme) course a couple of times, and cannot recommend it highly enough.
Good on you for applying for an overseas job!! Can’t wait to hear more about it! Can you tell us what country it would be in?
Wow. Where? When?
Why?
I´d be so happy to get a chance to go where you are…
Wish you luck anyhows
Must be great for a kid to see many places from early on!
Fe – I must agree that the parenting course does give you confidence in your instincts.
I can’t tell you where, or Melody would think I’m stalking her!
Melody – Not until early next year, but I am looking and have been looking at options for awhile
Iris – Because I miss the lifestyle that living overseas offers, and I will always come back to Perth eventually.
lol that was my week last week too.
I detest tradesmen who leave behind their mess – hope he fixed the termites though and you fixed the trojans.
wow on an overseas job – that would life interesting !
Ouch to the termites and trojans and parenting pyches and jobseach quibbles!
Good luck with this week.
Wow! It has been a busy week.
Good luck with the overseas job. That would freak me out a bit, i think.
Trish – The trojans seem to be obliviated, and hopefully the termites are too.
Jeanie – This week is looking great. Thanks to part time work and a long weekend I have a whole week off now. YAY!
Tiff – If I had a large family, moving down the road would freak me out lol
