Christmas Pageant
I made a promise to Boo a couple of weeks ago, a promise I regretted when the alarm bleeped in my ear at 7.00am on this Sunday morning. Boo wasn’t impressed with the alarm either. Neither of us venture out of bed very early if we don’t have to. We are NOT morning people!
Off we went to the Christmas Pageant, which moved from a Saturday night for the past 19 years to a Sunday morning this year. Though it does beat the 12 years, I was in the pageant when it was at 2.00pm (in the heat of the day)!
In my day there was cute little dancing girls!
Mark Holden as Prince Charming
Now I haven’t been since my last appearance… but it doesn’t seem as full of little dancing girls as it once was, and the floats are now corporately sponsored. Regardless, there was a little girl who had a marvelous time.

What is Boo riding?
Yes, its a camel! Hmmm, remember back to last month when she wouldn’t get within 10 feet of a camel? Safety in numbers I suppose?

We finished the day with Boo and her cousin, Bella decorating grandma and papa’s christmas tree.

Oh beautiful!! It sounds like a fun day despite the early start (lol over here a sleep in is 6.30)
What a delightful and precious way to spend a day.
My boys were late sleepers …not now !argh
Oh, you’re brave! There’s no way I was going to drag the kids and I out to the parade that early!
Looks like lots of fun though.
Oh, look at that blue, bright sky!!! All we have here is grey!
7 am on a Sunday is hard though!
What fun!! I didn’t think Fat Cat was around any more?
Just seems weird to see palm trees and Christmas in the same post.
Is that you, little dancing girl?
You look very sweet in that tutu!
Boo looked like she had a ball.
I know I’ve said this already – but my gosh Boo takes after you! And she is looking very grown up, too.
Jeanie – 6.30 is so NOT a sleep in!
Trish – It was a fabulous day!
Guera – Stupid is probably better than brave. Actually, there didn’t seem all that many people there to be honest!
Iris – We get grey in winter, too!
Melody – Fat cat is still the bedtime mascot here in Perth!
Lou – Maybe I’ll put a photo of the beach on Christmas Day just for you
Tiff – Yes that was me in my tutu
Alison – Poor child taking after me!
