Australia Day
Happy Australia Day to my Aussie readers (and those who wish to be)! I hope you have all had a wonderful day.
It was a fairly quiet one at our place as we were all barbied out from yesterday, and a certain little person slept for a vast chunk of the day recovering, and preparing for the much awaited for Sky Show.
Advertising of the event has been prolific and has led Boo to believe there are certain pre-requisites for attendance.
So Boo armed with her Australyan flag, a car sporting a couple of Australyan flags, and tattooed to the nines (of course all Made in China) we headed off for a night at the Sky Show, Boo’s first and my first in over 10 years.
I attempted my first fireworks photos, though not being in a position where I could use a tripod (even if I owned one) there was a couple of salvageable shots!
A little girl was in awe!

I love all the tattoos!
Oh, should have thought of the tattoos! The girls would have loved them.
My photos turned out the same. I only have a piddly little tripod and nowhere good to balance it so there was lots of “pretty blurry light” ones. Oh well.
Where did you watch from? I thought everywhere seemed relatively quiet given all the hype. It was my first one in 10 years too.
Monet *hates* fireworks, unlike her mum who *loves* fireworks. Boo-hoo.
Happy Aussie Day to you too.
Boo looks so grown up in the pic!
Oh, haven’t been to skyshow in YEARS. Probably about 12 years.
Happy Straya day!
Gorgeous. My main problems with fireworks are position and people.
Dina – Of course they had to stay on for kindy the next day, too. She is still sporting one of the arm ones
Guera – We were up at Kings Park. I had plenty of ‘blurry lights,’ too.
Melody – How can Monet NOT like fireworks? I thought everyone likes them…
Iris – Oh and she thinks she’s so grown up too!
M – I’m guessing I probably haven’t been in 15 years really! They would be a let down after your fab Sydney fireworks anyways
Jeanie – Oh I had quite a few people problems… mostly one little person though!
Oh! Look at her face.
What a wonderful photo.
happiest days ahead to you too dear one – le
Tiff – She loved it
Le – Cheers
