The Return of The 80s Celebrities
Thank you all for your kind birthday wishes. Despite not feeling to bad yesterday, I couldn’t find the energy to pull together a post!
The party went almost without a hitch, the only major drama was when the CD player decided to die but luckily the music situation was rapidly rectified, even if it no longer contained favourite hits from the 80s!
There were appearances by Boy George and Maverick

Boy George, Madonna, Gertie (from ET) still in a fairy dress from the morning and the anonymous Super Star

Dolly Parton and Warwick Capper

Also gracing us with their presence (I don’t want to photo overload you) were Rod Marsh and Dennis Lilly, Cindy Lauper, a couple of Kylie Mole’s, Indianna Jones, the Risky Business (boxer shorts and socks) Tom Cruise, a physical Olivia Newton John, Michael Jackson, Robert Palmer with a ‘Simply Irresistible’ girl, Gene Simmons, and The Blues Brothers amongst others!
At 40, I was happy and comfortable to bare my midriff as Madonna (even if my niece and nephew are convinced I was dressed as a belly dancer)!

Wow. I love the effort your friends and family put in. Wonderful.
And Madonna. Whoah! Showing your midriff – good for you!!!
Happy belated!! Haha, cooll idea for a party!
Some really good effort put into costumes there. Dress up parties are the most fun I reckon.
looks like a fantastic party! And a very good theme – there is so much to cover in the 80s.
Many, many happy returns
Fab photos! Looks like a great time was had by all.
Whoa, Momma!! That was YOU? You are HAWT!!!

Melody – Some people went to huge effort, and of course some people went to none!
Iris – Thank you
Jen – I do like a good dress up party!
Jeanie – I was surprised we only had one person come as a Dynasty character, though my mum nearly decided to come as Joan Collins, but thought she’d have more fun being Cyndi Lauper!
Rhubarb – Cheers
Guera – Lots of fun! Maybe we could all dress up again for the Tupperware party
Lou – Awww Shucks *blushing*
Fe – The Madonna outfit took me back to when I was 15, and thought I was so damn kewl!
