Sugar and spice and all things nice,
That’s what little girls are made of

Pardon me? I don’t think so!

Put Miss Boo, who is three and her four year old cousin, Miss Bella together and watch the claws come out! Though in this case, it could be the stinging tails (they’re both Scorpios).

Half the time they love each other to bits, and the other half the time they won’t hesitate to wind each other up. Boo does pure wind up, Bella yells and screams and then will push, shove, punch, scratch… I usually step in at this point because there is no way my little angel would get physically aggressive. However she would continue to use her verbal skills to her advantage, and may end up battered and bruised. Bella will quite often take on her older brother who is twice her size, so Boo wouldn’t stand a chance!

Now I know girls can be b*tches, I am just surprised at how early these behaviours are exhibited. I honestly thought it was primary school stuff not toddler stuff, so when at age two, Boo had her first stand up b*tchfest at the park against an unknown Miss 3 over who’s park it was. I was shocked.

Then there’s the love triangle at kindy. Boo has two best friends, the three of them are as thick as thieves some of the time, the rest of the time, two of them work together to squeeze the third one out! Oh and god help any other little girl who may wish to play with them!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m not a fan of 4. Monet has a little friend who is 3 and those two sound like your Boo and Bella. I. Can’t. Stand. It.

Roll on 5. I hope it changes.

  2. Alison says:

Lol… Well, considering Miss F at 4 told her sister her face was turning green just to watch her squirm, I have absolutely no advice – just an understanding smile and a quiet giggle to myself because for one, it’s not my child. lol

Girl politics is nasty and it can start quite young.

They grow out of it and into that “sweet on the surface” phase that is actually not that much better.

Three year olds are lovely, aren’t they? They seem to find glee in teasing each other. I am constantly pulling my pair apart.

Melody – Good Luck getting through the rest of 4, and remember therir is always us who haven’t really been there yet!

Alison – Darling, you have that understanding smile and that quiet giggle, because I’m sure I’ll be doing the same again soon when it is your child :)

Jeanie – And then they get hormonal!!!

Tiff – Three doesn’t seem as bad as four judging by my niece and Melody’s Monet.

I don’t envy you having two of them!

I love 4. 4 is my favorite age along with 5. Enjoy it, it passes quickly…

Rhubarb – I am completely in love with 3. Melody and my niece are scaring me about 4!
