Fairy Wand Fun
On a rainy afternoon, there is nothing like a Fairy Wand Production line to amuse little girls.
I was very disappointed when I asked the girls if they liked the wand I made. They looked at me with sympathy in their eyes and told me, NO! Because I had only used purple glitter paint and stuck on a feather… apparently not enough colours and definitely not enough glitter
If I don’t win Mother of the Year, I’m sure to win Aunty of the Year… Just quietly, I’m chuffed that my niece will say to her parents when in trouble or unwell “I want my Aunty Lani”

Adorable!! What a fun time they must have had. I really like your blog and have linked to it from my own. Hope that's ok w/you?
How fun!!!
Cool. Fairy Wands. Although, as the father of little boys (who are now grown, mostly), our thing was little wooden race cars for Cub Scouts.
Ohhhh they look fabulous!!!
And that is very cute about wanting Aunty Lani!! lol
I think your wand is lovely!
And I'm not surprised you're favourite Aunty Lani.
Love the wands, love the idea, love the mess. What a good person you are!
gorgeous … and of course Aunties are more fun than mum.

Kim – Glad you like my blog
Dina – Indeed
Lou – See what you missed out on
Alison – Aunty Lani is a legend
Guera – Thanks, I think my wand is lovely too
Rhubarb – Ahhh yes the mess! At least we have big chunky glitter now, that is easily vacuumed and glitter that is already in the paint!
Trish – Thursday afternoons are lots of fun at my house
Is that glitter I see?
You are a glutton, LOL.
I love fairy wands.
Ivy and I made one while she was in the hospital and NBM. It killed an hour or so.
What a cool mum and aunt you are!
Tiff – Not a glutton for punishment, better glitter choices
Chunky shiny paper glitter. Easily vaccumed away, not the type that gets everywhere and is still evident after 20 years!
Glitter paint, where the fine little sparkly bits are firmly ensconsed in the paint never to be shed through the house or upon the scalp of little people!
