The lurgy that lingered has almost left this host.

The lurgy mutated itself into a nice case of bronchitis on Monday evening, leaving me sleep deprived and far from feeling joyous.

Tuesday morning, saw me ring 12 GP surgeries trying to get an appointment… somewhere, anywhere! Finally, the receptionist at #12 felt sorry for me and squeezed me in, even though the doctor was not taking on any new cases.

I really hate that you need to plan at least a week in advance to be sick, and get an appointment. I really hate even more that you need to plan this when your child is sick too.

Armed with a couple of different antibiotics, some prednisolone and ventolin puffers. I am happy to say I am 99% cured, I can breathe easily and the cough is not keeping me awake all night (just a small part of it).

Not that you really needed to know any of that, I just needed a post, so I could test sending from Windows Live Writer!

Ugh. I hate night coughing…not as much as I hate vomiting. But it's up there.

I've often said I should make a standing weekly appointment with my GP "just in case".
In Qld, we have a phone number that gets access to nurses 24/7. Its Pure Gold.

Tiff – Think I might be all better :)

    Dina – Night coughing *sucks*

Iris – I thought sick planning was just something we needed to do here. Didn't ralise it was an international problem

    Rhu – Cheers

Amanda – We also have HealthDirect in WA. Being a nurse myself, I knew that I needed to see a doctor so they weren't going to be very helpful :)

Lou – Oh and Live Writer was so much more efficient :)
