Nice to be Home
I returned from a flying work trip to Sydney for a conference, last night. The flight home was bumpy with turbulence, and made being away from Boo for a few more hours a little harder.
But I arrived home safely, and was greeted with lots of big kisses and cuddles that continued all the way from the airport to home, to putting Boo to bed. There is no way, I’ll ever leave her for 5 days again, even though she coped beautifully… I didn’t!
The conference of course was rather dry! Does Safety and Quality in Healthcare sound like fun to you? Though I did get a few good things out of it, and some encouragement that the issues I have with my workplace are global, and I’m not alone with my battles!
The best part of my week – meeting up with some blogging and twitter pals.
Tuesday, I had a lovely evening with Fe and her gorgeous boys, enjoying her wonderful company, her amazing Sydney views and some delightful red wine.
On Thursday, I had a fabulous day with Trish and Sarah, and their beautiful children. It’s so nice to actually meet up in real life.
And of course nothing is better, than being at home with my beautiful girl

That explains the silence around here!
Yips, there is no place like home when some loved one is waiting, I know
How fab that you got to meet some bloggies who are now ‘real’ friends. I love that.
You sound like me – I shudder at the thought of leaving the kids overnight (even with my wonderful parents ) as *I* know I’d miss them too much (I also know would be completely fine).
Sydney is a gorgeous place to visit and I’m glad you saw some friends … but home is … well Home
No place like home. I be you were welcomed back with wide open arms.
Iris – Yes, been fairly much computerless for a couple of weeks!
Melody – Fe and I met last year and it was so Lovely to catch up. It was excellent to meet Trish and Sarah and make them ‘real’ friends too
Corymbia – I missed her way more than she missed me! I think keeping her in her kindy routine helped, too. But was so happy to get home to Boo.
Rhubarb – Oh those open arms were awesome!
Can’t believe I’ve missed so much of your blog. I still had your blogspot one in my google reader!! SO sorry!!!
I LOVED catching up with you (as you know)!!
Thank you for such a fun night.
