Discrimination
It is the day, the nation stops for a horse race…
It appears it stops only for those in the in-crowd, those that have access to a television, a radio, or a non-government computer that does not block live-streaming!
Today I was not in the in-crowd, did not have television or radio access, and only had access to a government computer
There are four members of my team that have our offices in a different building to our Director and the rest of the team. They live in the swanky Executive corridor.
So the in-crowd in their swanky corridor and offices organised a Melbourne Cup lunch and sweepstakes – we WERE NOT invited.
Do you think we’d have a case for discrimination?

That is terrible & definitely discrimination. How very rude of the in crowd.
Something similar happened in my husband’s office he was invited to Ascot but the woman who deals with the client everyday was not. He was very embarrassed & disappointed for her. Maybe your in crowd will read this blog and do better next year.
how very rude …
Not only rude, but completely “Un-Australian”!!!!
Personally, I’m not a Cup Girl, and usually find myself driving or shopping at 3pm wondering “Why do I have the road / shops all to myself?”. But even I would feel a bit odd if the choice to watch or not was completely taken away from me.
