There are three more sleeps until my girlfriend from Wales, and her sister arrive on our shores, and, more literally, the Me & Boo doorstep.

Despite my best attempts over the weekend and a Herculean effort by Miss 4, the house is a mess AGAIN!

I’m convinced that a clean and tidy house, is to Boo, what a red rag is to a bull!

No sooner is everything packed away neatly, Boo decides it’s time to build a cubby in the lounge.

To pull out every toy in the playroom that has previously been hiding in the mess.

No sooner are the floors washed, Boo will spill orange juice all over the mat.

My list could continue on and on.

Since the Cleaning Fairy doesn’t seem to be forthcoming, maybe I’ll lock Boo in a cupboard for the next few days???

Hmmm…. I think NOT!

ETA – While I wrote this Miss Boo has flooded the bathroom for the 2nd time this week (purposely) *sigh*

  1. When you find that Cleaning Fairy would you send them over to my place? I was hoping the “purposely making a mess” factor would have reduced considerably by the time B gets to 4. *sigh* You mean I’ve still got years of this ahead of me???

Never gets boring, huh? When the fairy is done… ummm, here´s enough work, too!

Cleaning Fairy… now THERE is a dream. I want to believe!! I am cleaning-allergic and am hoping that my kids somehow (miraculously) manage to pick up the cleaning and tidying bug without my influence. It’s not working so far. :-)

PS Enjoy your friends’ visit – am sure they won’t care about your ‘mess’!!

A clean house is a sign of a wasted life.
And NOTHING goes to waste around here!

Hope you have a great time with your friends :-)

I have bad news. It’s not going to get any better. I wish I had a cleaning fairy too.
And CCTV throughout the house, so I could pin down the culprit/s who make the mess. (I cleaned the bathroom mirror yesterday, and this morning there’s already gunk on it. Do they get their toothbrushes and deliberately spatter it or what?)

Sunny and Iris – I haven’t found the Cleaning Fairy, so I can’t send her your ways!

BB – My 4 year old showed signs of having picked up the cleaning and tidying bug on the weekend – she was awesome. Unfortunately it was short lived :(

    Al – I love your logic :)

Tracey – Oh, I so wish you could have given me good news *sigh*
