… or alternatively, cancer SUCKS!!!

On Tuesday morning I opened my email. First there was an email from Boo’s godmother – the results of previous testing on a suspicious mass on her ovary have all come back with inconclusive results. She is having surgery next Tuesday for exploration of the mass, and a possible hysterectomy at 40 years old.

Next email came from my gorgeous, dear friend who had a breast biopsy very recently. She most definitely has breast cancer. I cried my heart out. We shared a flat together in Abu Dhabi – and we shared our souls in that time.

My girlfriend who is here on holiday from Wales, is another friend from Abu Dhabi – the two of us have blubbered together, and hoped for the best.

She is 34 and got married last year. I think the killer is, I know that her and her husband were planning to start their family. Instead of that, there are now plans for chemotherapy, followed by surgery, and whether to stay in the Emirates or move back to the UK.

She flew to the Edinburgh on Wednesday for planned holidays, and saw a surgeon on Thursday. I spoke to her briefly this morning and she still feels she has no answers, and no decisions.

I so wish there was more I could do (sitting here on the other side of the world) then sending positive and healthy vibes her way :(
