Boo must be so excited . Is it like prep ? (kindy inside a school in NSW I gather) as apposed to Prep (1st yr of full time school in VIC ?) Talk to the school about the nut free thing... as a parent of kids with severe nut allergies I am not really in favour of a blanket ban. I'd much prefer that the kids and staff be educated about the risks and learn ways to manage them, though I understand schools being scared or litigation or having to do with an emergency. Oh change is in the air!

So long as the school isn't crazy. (My H's first kindy banned jam sandwiches for no other reason than the fact that jam has sugar in it). My K is a peanut paste lover too, but we have a family friend who has anaphalaxis and K was always understood that it can make her friends sick and has endured a variety of other sangas so long as she can have her beloved peanut paste sangas on the weekend. So maybe some sort of explanation of the reason and a deal can be struck?? Hope you get the lunch box drama sorted out.
