Some Good News
Back in December, I blogged about how much cancer Sucks. Within days of writing that post I found out a wonderful family friend had a few months to live with lung cancer, and karma struck a male relative has been receiving treatment for testicular cancer.
I thought I’d update you with some better news. Our wonderful family friend is living out her life without treatment that may, or may not prolong her life. Her prognosis is poor and being a nurse she has opted for ‘quality over quantity,’ and is making every moment count.
Boo’s godmother had the mass and her ovary removed. The mass was encapsulated and found early enough that she has been deemed cancer free.
My gorgeous girlfriend, had a rapid growing breast lump that went from pea-size to 3cm x 4.5cm in 6 weeks, and even with clear lymph nodes was given a 20% chance of beating this. After her 4th chemotherapy treatment the lump is almost back to pea-size, and she is facing a lumpectomy rather than a mastectomy, and of course a much better prognosis than 20%.

Nice that there is something good coming from all of that. Your friend is so brave. First instinct would be to fight and try everything. I wish my father had decided on no treatment and gone on his around the world trip instead of going through the horror of treatment.
This is so frightening!!!
Yeah. Wish my Dad had chosen another way, too. Gone for nearly 8 years now, but like he´d say hi like right now.
Best wishes for your friend!
