Excuses for why this blog is suffering from neglect
Excuse Number 1
Though this is my first experience of school holidays with a school age child, I thought school holidays was a time for kids to chill out, relax and recover from the term.
Seems I was wrong! Our school holidays have been far more busy and hectic than a school week. Obviously, I still worked 3 days/week (except for the sick-day-that-wasn’t-a-sick-day) and Boo is at day care kindy for two of those days. The other 3 days of the week Boo had spare were filled choc-a-block.
There was a Hi-5 concert, there was Scitech, there was play dates, there was Easter, there was family gatherings.
Boo asked to do nothing at all last weekend! As her chauffeur and chaperone, I was more than happy to oblige. Unfortunately for us, we got invited out way too many times!
Excuse Number 2
In my perfect dream world, I am Super Mum! I can balance sole parenting, a career, school holidays, two units of a Masters, life, a BLOG, a Twitter account and a Facebook account (with a farm)!
In reality. It seems I cannot especially when said university expects two assignment submissions during school holidays (which are not university holidays)!
Excuse Number 3
I’ve been dog-sitting and the extra dog ate my blog!
My dog left presents of dead rats and mice on my back doorstep.
Excuse Number 4
There was no less than four half finished blog posts, that never got to the point where I hit the ‘publish’ button *sigh*

Busy, busy, busy! At least never boring, huh?
Poor ole doggy is always to blame
Hang in there.
There will come a time when Boo is a teenager and she won’t want to do anything except sloth on the couch.
That’s when school holidays become about rest
Iris – Yes poor dogs always get the blame
Tiff – Stop wishing the time away… and by then I’ll probably be working full-time and not resting
Life is nothing short of eventful for you , love the dog excuse lol.
Wishing you quieter days !
Trish – Should get quieter soon. Roll on May 31st! The uni semester will be finished… and next semester, I will only do one unit online!!!
