The Kindy Mum

I’m taking a week off from my usual Home Lovin’ Thursday posts. I haven’t achieved much at all around the house this week, and today is a special day for Boo.

Not only is it the last day of term (the little Miss does not want holidays) but today I’m going to kindy with Boo. Yes, I am devoting my morning to being the kindy mum. And between me and you, I’m not sure if Boo or I is more excited

Boo has been looking forward to having me come and help for weeks. She worked out very quickly that the morning helper comes for longer than the afternoon helper, and has been checking with me regularly that I was the morning helper.

Boo is loving school. In the 9 weeks since she started, I have been in awe at how much she has developed and learnt. Being that she’s been in daycare, and is used to a kindy program, I don’t think I expected to see such huge leaps and bounds in a short space of time.

Last week she discovered the canteen! I was asked on the way home, "By the way, why don’t I get a food order? And why don’t I have an older brother or sister at the school, to pass me an ice-cream through the fence?”

Today she is allowed to have a food order.

Unfortunately, I can’t help her out with her second query!
