I give you my ‘Grand Elephant Entrance.’

Oh, okay I give you more holiday snaps… but I did promise elephants!

*****************************************************

The highlight of our trip to Malaysia, was an afternoon spent at the Kuala Gandah Elephant Orphanage Sanctuary. Boo was in heaven. My little animal lover (with no fear) was gone down the path in seconds. Found feeding and attempting to cuddle a couple of baby elephants that were about twice as big as her, and at least 200kg more than her!

Those elephants sure get big!

Kuala Gandah

Yes, I did feed the elephants, too! Boo managed to procure herself a massive bunch of bananas (I had a piece of watermelon, or 2), and had to feed the elephants one at a time *sigh*

We got to ride the elephants. Everyone, except Boo had one ride. Boo will appear in numerous people’s photos as their adopted child!!!

Elephant Riding

Oh yes we even got to ride in the river

Before the elephant rolled us in! That’s us at the front there!

Elephant tossing

Oh look there’s  Boo with a French couple she adopted, just so she could have another ride! Apparently they spoke a funny language!

And in case, I haven’t shown you enough elephants. I’ll leave you with one more!

Gorgeous!!! There was a not so friendly elephant story in Graffiti Powder Room this week – thank goodness you had all friendly ones (and friendly adoptives for Boo)
