Dancing Queen
Miss Boo had her first school disco last weekend. She was so excited about her first disco for a good couple of weeks, and had her outfit chosen before the ticket was brought.
I was asked to be a parent helper at the disco. I accepted because I know it won’t be long before Boo balks at having me attend her things. Little did I know the strict dress standard Boo would set for me.
The night afternoon of the disco arrived and the little fashion victim asked to see what I was wearing. After a couple of changes I was deemed of an acceptable standard to be seen in public with the Princess (as long as I went and put my lipstick and mascara on)!
My little fashionista happily posed pre-funky, twisty-bun hairstyles, though refused photos after that… . I should have taken my camera because lots of parents were photographing their kids (and others). I’m so used to daycare where you need to sign consent for your child to be photographed, apparently this doesn’t apply to our school!

On the way to the venue, Boo asks from the back of the car “What actually is a disco?” She figured there would be dancing and music but was otherwise pretty much clueless
Seems Boo was not the only clueless 4 year old at the disco, only about half her class attended. Her and the other 3 girls danced up a storm when they weren’t collecting glo-sticks that had fallen off other children. Several of her male classmates left within 15 mins as they were so overwhelmed by the loud music, the dark, the disco lights and the bubble machine.
Boo cannot wait for the next disco. Looks like she may just take after her mother

Ah what a gorgeous disco diva!
My girls have a school disco in October.. they are already counting down the days!
Wow, Boo looks gorgeous! But so grown-up already!
I´m old, I have to face that – there was no such thing as disco for kids when I was that age, bu-huu
