It’s school holidays. For us it doesn’t really change our routine too much. I still work 3 days, Boo still attends ‘little’ kindy on those days, who implement a school holiday program with lots of fun things happening. In fact during the holidays, Boo would love to attend every day!

For me, I lose my one child-free, work-free day each week. I’m not complaining. The housework can wait. The groceries can wait. Social networking can wait. My eyebrow waxing cannot wait!

We were pencilled in for a play date today. Today is going to be wet, wild, woolly and cold.

Yesterday, play date’s mum rang with a fabulous idea. Let’s send the girl’s off for 3 hours to ‘The Fairies Shop.’ The fairy loving girls still get a play date but are entertained, amused and fed by someone else ;) Sounds pretty good to me!

Craft, games and dancing all in one afternoon, I can’t beat that!

Now I have some bonus me-time hours, I guess I’ll spend it unwisely? Best I see if I can get an appointment for my eyebrows!

  2. I have been meaning to get my eyebrows waxed for three weeks now…I have one day when my son is in daycare and yet I keep using that day to catch up on cleaning stuff…This week is the week though, I swear!

Is that the Fairy Shop in Freo by the way?

Gill – My free day is usually used on cleaning the house! The Fairies Shop Boo went to is in Joondalup – the link is on my blog. I think there is also one in Rockingham?
