Unabashed Bragging

My blog. Therefore, I can brag!

‘Little’ kindy (3-5 year old kindergarten) as opposed to school kindy, send home a portfolio at the end of school term. School kindy, on the other hand verbally tell you your child is doing well (or I expect if they’re not, you’re the parent that’s asked to come in and see the teacher at pick up time).

Last term I was a bit disappointed with the portfolio. As much as Boo could achieve all the demonstrated tasks, they were tasks she has been achieving for a long, long time. I would have been happier to see what she was actually capable of, or what she was working toward.

This term the portfolio demonstrated things that Boo should be achieving at 4 and a half years old. I’m not going to brag about those, she met all the targets, and there was nothing that was news to me.

What made my heart sing with pride, was the summary statement :)

Okay so the teacher can’t spell but I assume Miss Boo is delightful… actually her school teacher used the word delightful as well.

Now if only she was delightful for me all of the time *sigh*

    Congrats!!! :-) That sounds really delightful!
    Hope that teacher doesn´t teach writing though…
