At the dinner table, Boo and I chat about lots of interesting strange things. In the previous weeks, Princess Mary of Denmark was in Australia, and we had talked about how she met Prince Frederick, their two children, and the twins she is pregnant with.

The other night, Boo was talking about what she will do when she grows up.

Boo:  Mum, when I grow up I’m going to be famous or a zoo keeper. Did you know Amy* wants to be a princess? I told her that you can’t do that!

Me: No, to become a princess you need to marry a prince.

Boo: (recalling that Denmark has a young prince) Maybe I could go to Denmark, learn how they talk and marry Prince Christian?

Me: Hmmm, that might work!

Boo: He’s nearly 5 and I’m nearly 5. I’ll have to go soon so that he can fall in love with me before he falls in love with someone else.

Me: Or maybe you could wait till you’re a bit older.

Boo: Alright when I’m a teenager and then I can move into the palace with him!

So the girl has big plans… at least she’s more realistic than thinking she can grow up and choose to be a princess ;)

    Isn´t she the cutest???
    And clever, oh, boy!

Well my Amy DOES want to be a princess when she grows up. Sigh. At least she has come round to being a princess with a day job after I explained how bored she would be in the castle with nothing to do except be a princess. Now she would like to be a princess that works on an aeroplane handing out water. Its an improvement, air steward is definitely better than princess!

    Iris – Hmm, sometimes she’s cute ;)

Sarah – LOL! I think I’d rather be a bored princess than an air steward…
