Santa’s Helper. Jellyfish. Angel. Is there a link?
On Friday, Boo and I were finally released from our home detention, and boy did we make up for missing a week isolated from society.
In the morning she was Santa’s Helper in the ‘little kindy’ concert.
I had emotional tears running from my eyes throughout the performance. Boo came out on stage all by herself before the concert and welcomed the 100 or so parents and grandparents to the concert, and wished everyone a Merry Christmas. I was so very, very proud.
I was emotional, not only because my 5 year old is super confident and amazing at public speaking, but she finishes at this centre in 2 weeks. The carers, the children and the parents here have come from the daycare to the kindy with her, they have been part of our ‘family’ for the past 4.5 years. My baby is no longer a baby, and as much as Boo cannot wait to move forward, I do so with more trepidation.
In the afternoon, Boo transformed to a jellyfish for her ballet dress rehearsal. The concert on Sunday night is copyrighted so you may or may not see more photos!!!
A quick trip in the car, with some snacks, and a speedy costume change, saw Boo become an angel in the school Nativity Play in the evening.
It was a big day, especially after a week of being sick but the girl carried off everything beautifully
Oh and she won me a bottle of wine and $40 of restaurant vouchers in the school raffle. What a girl

[...] Ballet and The Great Costume Debacle of 2011 By MissyBoo On December 5, 2011 · Leave a Comment · In Uncategorized Boo had her ballet concert on Sunday night. This year’s production was Enid Blyton’s The Enchanted Wood and Boo was a canary. A canary sounds a much more plausible ballet role than last year’s (beautiful) jellyfish role. [...]
